Have had this 99 430 clk sitting on my property for over 6 years. Never tried to start it, it was a repo that my dad had.
Recently found the key for it, put in a battery and it doest turn over at all, just the dash lights up.
Is there something common that goes out? a certain fuse to check?
thanks!

Please check the battery connections as probably corroded ( in trunk ) . Pull the positive and negative and wire brush. Same with
the battery side. Measure the voltage with a DMM and should be over 12 vdc. Have someone try to crank and see what the voltage
is under a load. If voltage drops significantly and no crank the starter is the culprit. I have had luck with cars that have sat a long time
by rapping starter with a hammer while trying to start. You should hear the bendix engage/disengage when trying to start. If the bendix
does not slide the starter gear out it is probably at fault.
