Thinking of joining the CLK family.

What should i look out for on these cars? I have one spotted but it is clear the hell down in so cal. I would definately need to take along a buddy to break up the drive home if i went for that car. Weigh in on problems, things it should definately have on it. Oh and I am in the market for sub 50,000 miles <30K car.

Make sure you get a 2000 or newer car. The 2000 got a lot of little extras that the 99's and earlier didn't have.

If I could choose, I wouldn't get the sport glass only because I tinted my windows black (just messes up the look IMO).

The 2000+ models get:
  • signal lights on the outside mirrors
  • different interior wood (not really a plus IMO)
  • on the 320's you get matching impact strips and trim and also matching lower moldings instead of black plastic/rubber
  • newer style stock rims
  • steering wheel controls (big plus!!!)
  • ESP
