Top not working, could be wrong boot lock
Hi,
About 18 months ago, i replaced my convertible boot lock with a boot lock (with a key) from a coupe. The boot lock has never actually locked with the remote control but everything else worked and we live in the country so we don't need to lock things.
Yesterday, I opened the roof partially so I could tinker with the non-working rear screen demister.
When the roof failed to work, I thought no problem recycle the roof manually, raise or drop the rollover bar - easy.
No. Afraid Not. Not a sausage of movement.
I've checked the fuses and they are all ok.
It is not difficult to replace the hydraulic pump, because I have one spare but I think the problem could be with that boot lock. It could be signalling that the boot is open.
Any ideas for testing if it is the boot lock at fault?
