Rattle in exhaust underneath car.. What could it be??

recently started happening.... only when car is in drive(or reverse) and fully stopped.. does not occur when in park or neutral... ive put car in drive and looked underneath and i see the piece that connects the engine all the way to the muffler in back rattling underneath(ill try to add a picture)... it's not a terribly loud rattle but its definitely noticeable with the music turned down..

It's possible something is loose, just curious what it might be before i bring it in to dealer.. Thanks in advance..

Could be the heat shield or the charcoal in the cat converter is broken.

haters crazy
I agree with smalldog and I would say the heat shield is loose. This also happened to my 300E. It's a very easy fix.

i would bet money its the cat that is gone bad. its going to be doing that rattling when it needs to be replaced. i had the same thing not but 3 months ago probably. i got charged 1500 to have a new one put in.

at first it was believed to be the heat shield but after adjusting we realized what the problem was.
