W208 CLK 320 Reliability ?
Hey all,
New to the forums here. This W208 CLK 320 popped up in my area for sale. Its got 110k miles, one family-two owners with full service history, and is being sold for $3200. Its the V6. The guy is definitely an enthusiast, (he has two vintage mustangs and a LR Defender in the background), so I'm not worried about how it was taken care of. But in general, How reliable are the W208s? Is it going to be a money pit?

Depends on how well serviced. If the guy is pretty good, he has done the maintenance, and the normal stuff you replace at 20 years/100k wear. Ask for receipts. You could be facing all kinds of stuff (suspension parts, valve cover leaks, CPS, radiator, hoses, water pump, tranny service, diff seals, compressor, etc).
If all this was previously squared away, the M112 and 5 speed auto is almost bulletproof with 30 mpg on the highway. I love mine at 158k. Every day driver. Go anywhere, right now.
