1/4 time for CLK320

I went to NH (New England Dragway) and tested my 1/4 time. My first run was 15.644,
second run was 15.783,
third run was 15.831

How come it got slower each time?

Also it could be the result of hotter engine, did you make the passes one after another? That would cause it, as the engine gets hotter it slows down.

If you let it rest for 20-30 minutes between runs, then reaction time might be the answer,I assume you didn't spin tires on neither one of those runs. If you spun, that could be your answer.

Another factor is how hot or cold and how humid was each time you ran.

It could also be that you didn't step on the gas as hard everytime.

Etc, etc, etc. :o :o :o

Sorlo,

how often do you head out to the NH dragway? if you ever need some company i'll hit you up sometime this summer. might be an interesting venue/excuse for a boston meet. those west coast guys have g2g's more often than we do.

Reaction time:
1st-1.612
2nd-1.353
3rd-1.226

I allowed my engine to rest for 30 minutes bettwen runs, but still slower

It was my first time yesterday. I am sure we can set up a meet during this summer there, should be really fun.

thanks oresama99.

6.7 was what we timed with a stop watch + - error margin. But hopefully once the induction kit is installed, i should shave off a few more milliseconds.

mb does tend to be conservative. wouldn't be surprised if it was under.

Mark D.

Here's the URL of the place, it's more than an hour drive from Boston, so it's kinda far from NY.

Kingman18,

I am sorry for the late reply. I was about to type that yesterday and my gf just dragged me away because she couldn't stand watching me playing in front of the computer for so long :o

they are distance in feet, thus they indicate the amount of time it took you to cover those respective distances

Wow if you get your 60' time down to say around 2.1, then you can get a 15.2 in the 1/4... i didnt know the clk320 was that quick. Good work.

CrazyCLK430,

Saw your other post, I guess this can help you decide on which CLK you should get.
