MB Computer Reader or Tuner??
Hey guys, anybody know where I could get like a handheld computer thing that can connect to the computer in my 99 320 and read the codes, and maybe even re-program it. My last car (SVT cobra) I had a hypertech programmer and could re-program and pull the codes, etc. pretty easily. Do they have anything like that for the MB?

Yeah, they're two different cars. I didn't get the 320 for speed or even a sports car, but for the looks, class, and luxury. I still miss the abnoxiously loud and fast SVT though...

There's a scan tool available for the palm pilot, and the Snap-On one will work to read engine codes and reset lights, but there's no programming solution a la the Hypertech Power Programmer. The only way to do that kind of chip tuning is to have a good company do a custom chip for you. I'd stay away from the one size fits all chips. I had a powerchip software on my upgrade on my car for a while and wasn't very impressed with the results.
