Squeak from HELL Ft dr side
I have a 2000 CLK 320 with a passenger side front squeak. This is what I can tell you the squeak occurs when you turn the wheel all the way to the far right and go back and forth a little bit the second time it squeaks is if the car is just sitting and you push up and down on the headlight. When you Jack the car up and you turn the wheel left and right the squeak is gone. If I take the tire off and I Jack up the disk with the second Jack and I turned the wheel left and right the squeak is there.
I have sprayed every single piece of rubber replace the shock and sprayed in the spring area. I cannot find where the squeak is coming from it is definitely in that area when you take the tire off I crawled underneath the middle of the car thinking it might have been the steering damper or will the tie rod connects to other pieces it is not there.
The only one definite scenario is if you push the car up and down or if you turn the wheel all the way to the right and start steering back the opposite way and go back and forth. My thought is it can't be the shock because it happens when you turn the wheel left and right while it's on the ground it can't be the spring either so it has to be something to do with when the car bounces up and down and when the steering is turned left and right. Again my problem is I saturated all those bushings with PB blaster and still squeaks. Ball joints dry?

So I removed the sway bay bracket and the squeak was still there. I went to amazon and bought a pair of ball joints $21.00 I will install them Saturday
I am convinced it's the ball joint. The ball joints are easy to replace on these cars 20 min job

You are correct It is not the best thing to do to rubber but it was all I had and you can spray it directly onto items. After I did this I threw a bucket of soapy water. ..I do the same when ever I drain power steering fluid or working on a PS pump that can destroy rubber.

All set it was the ball joint. I removed the sway bar and it still made noise so it could on be the ball joint after that. It only made noise in the was pressure on the suspension and you turned to the right and bounced the car up and down over the right tire.
