HELP! Display Defective, Visit Workshop -> Car Doesn’t Crank at All

Typing this from the side of the road.

I had to get on the brakes hard this morning, my coffee which was in the cup holder upended, dousing the shifter area.

As soon as this happened, my display lit up and the gauges stopped working altogether. Car in Limp Home mode.

Pulled off into parking area to turn the car off and back on, but no dice. Doesn’t even crank.

Anyone got any ideas on what to do from here? Disconnect battery and wait?

Thank you!

Thank you!

I would start with disconnecting the battery for as long as it takes for the liquid to dry (to prevent further damage).

This might be an expensive fix...I have followed this forum for some time and spills seem to destroy the shift circuit board....not saying that this is your issue but I would do searches on this forum and others for "spills on center console"
