Clk230 avant-garde final edition
Does anybody know of any firm in the UK who can refurbish the soft top hydraulic rams?
I have four leaking like a sieve.
any help would be appreciated.
I have removed two from the drivers side.
Part numbers
A208 800 01 72
AA208 800 00 72
I assume they are the same for the passenger side?

TopHydraulics in the US will refurbish your 208 rams. I don't have personal experience of their quality, but they have been on Wheeler Dealers and Klaus has made the most amazing videos with great DIY documentation.

Also, there are normally second hand rams available on eBay. The hydraulic parts tend not to wear out in the UK, because the weather is cold here. They are much more likely to fail in hot countries, so buy your bits in the UK and you should be quids in.

I have bought but not fitted yet 5 black rams from a brilliant bloke on eBay.£210 delivered.
Hopefully they will be sound.
£2700 cheaper than Mercedes.
my rams failed I think because the roof had not been lowered for years and the rods on the rams were pitted with rust and I think ripped the seals when I lowered and raised the roof 4 times.
