Front seat bottom seat skins...left and right interchangeable?
Just as the title says?
I am fixing up a low mileage CLK and the driver seat bottom is just starting to get a bit shiny, compared to the pristine passenger seat.
I am looking to replace it with a used seat bottom seat skin, and I figure it will be easier to find a nice passenger side seat than a driver side one.

Well, the fix was easy ... I did use a small magnet in the claws of a flexible grabber that fit into the inboard track for the seat. I pulled out not just the one ~1/4" ball bearing but also a second one came out, too. The seat (n=1) moved all the way back smoothly. My only remaining question is the source of the two steel ***** ... is there some kind of mechanism under the seat that could be coming apart? The only other option is some accidental spill sometime in the past, maybe even before I got the car in ~2008.
