A/C Operation when top down
1) I understand the 'AUTO' button red light goes off when the outside temp is with a certain range of the internal SET temp - correct?.
2) How do you switch the 'AUTO' off - say when you have the top down and the A/C is unnecessary? I have tried pushing the AUTO button a second time or holding it for a few seconds but it does not go off.
Thanks

You won't find the following in the owners manual, however the top down driving time-frame experience can be vastly extended (e.g. during Spring, Summer and Fall), by manually operating the N22 HVAC system controller, which on demand, will then provide cabin cooling or heating.
To turn off the N22 automatic mode operation, just press the auto button + the air distribution button, on the controller's left and right side
Manual HVAC operation operation will now be actuated by the fan air speed toggle button, where 'on' is selected by pushing the button in the + direction, which will select 7 increasing fan speeds and 'off' is selected by pushing the button in the - direction to 0.
Notes:
- When turned on, the operation defaults into the economy mode, to heat the cabin and the EC button will illuminate.
- To cool the cabin, just push the EC button, EC lamp will turn off and the compressor will turn on, to cool the cabin.
- During manual operation, the N22 buttons continue to function normally (e.g. to select the desired temperature, air vent distribution etc.).
- Works best with the windows raised and the wind defector in place.
- If you should ever want to return to automatic mode, just press the left and right 'auto" buttons.
