Hi, all - I have leaks on each side of my 2000 CLK430 convertible. The leaks are on both sides just behind where the top meets the windshield. There's also a leak further back on the passenger side.
1. Is this likely a problem with seals, or could it be that the fabric needs to be treated with waterproofing?
2. Are there roof drains that can clog, and if so can you point me to them? (A photo would be great.)
3. Do the seals need to be maintained?
And of course I'd welcome any other advice.
Many thanks!
Pete

Same issue here, Pete. Honestly I'd run down to your local NAPA (etc) and I bet they'll have a silicone somethingorother that will help. Perhaps cleaning the contact points? Sorry this isn't helpful, just I didn't want you to be ignored.
Alternately: Be careful to not leave your door open for long in the rain, as this will create a water channel through which more water will flow.
Or set a sponge on your lap to soak up the drips.
Just one of the joys of owning one of these beautiful old cars for pennies on the dollar compared to new.
