Poor radio reception
I have a 2002 CLK320 Cab with an aftermarket (Pioneer) radio/GPS/phone set up. I have poor FM radio reception. I read that perhaps the antenna or amplifier needs attention. The antenna is a black flexible one about 12" long.
1) Instructions how to take off the antenna? Does it just screw off?
2) I guess I just work my way through the panels in the trunk to get to the amp - I understand it is near the antenna?
3) Suggestions as to what to buy - if I need to replace the antenna or the amp?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I too had poor FM reception and have tried many times to fix this myself with different amplifiers and antennas. There is definitely current getting to the amplifier. The FM does not work at all now.
It will be very interesting to hear how you fix this.
