Ok so I'm stumped here. Inspection is coming due (NC, USA if there is a difference in models) 02 clk320. Replacing the tail light bulbs and the one on my passenger side keeps going out the bulb used on that side is 7225. The driver side uses 1157 with no problem.
The problem I'm having is I have replaced that 7225 3x and it still keeps burning out but the 1157 has no problem when installed on either side. The 7225 I have to force into the socket and then I end up having to remove it with pliers because it gets stuck.
I have seen on other posts that others have had the same problem with the 7225 not fitting properly. Yet when I go to autozone or advance auto website 1157 isnt even an option for this vehicle.
So does anyone know if the US models are different? Which bulb do I actually need?
