55 Suspension questions

55 Suspension questions
Okay I have been looking into new wheels/tires for my car and suspension as well maybe BBK also; I have talked to several wheel reps that say big brakes don't go well with rims unless you go custom?!?! true or not?? And I am being advised that lowering a 55 isn't as easy as a 430,320 why ?? No explanation was ever given to me.
I would like to do in a perfect world : H + R Springs, new shocks (manufacture is open for discussion), HRE 540R is charcoal 19's staggered set up. With either Brembo or stop tech brakes.
Maya said they need spacers and no way to BBK and a proper fitment
HRE said its possible but they need the car in the shop to make sure (long ways from cali)
Thinking of going down to 18's new AMG style slotted star wheels staggered if all esle fails.
Any suggestions or knowledge would be great. Thanks
