Just had the dreaded abs and esp lights come on and staying on.
Lot of times the brake light switch is to blame so took it out, disassembled, cleaned the contacts ( one had slight pitting), tested with multimeter, all good.
Please note the plunger end with the ratcheting grooves and spring clips. So you can pull the plunger out before install so it resets to the right length on installation.
Sadly did not cure the problem. Tried disconnecting battery for 5 mins but that did not work. Thought the pictures might be useful to other clk owners. Please note this is original merc part with part no A001 545 95 09.
