My shift lever got stuck. Mechanic says I need the part # 2022670824
I tried to find it online, but it says it's been discontinued I really like my CLK so I'm trying to figure out how to get it fixed
Is it stuck in park? , you need to check the interlock cable running from ignition to the shifter by removing black trim then wooden surround trim (disconnect wiring to switches on one side). Then remove 2 x cross head screws to remove ash tray. The cable runs to the front right of shifter module and is located in a molded s groove under where the ash tray was. Chech it hasn't become dislodged. There is also a small flip away access hole that if you put something like a pen or screwdriver in and push firmly down to enable shifter movement for towing.
