Window Tint advice
Hey everyone,
My CLK is white with charcoal interior. I want to tint my windows but what kind of tint should I do? How dark? or should I just leave my windows the way they are. Thanks!

i dont know what your regulations are.
here, tints are strictly forbidden, i have no idea why, since our country is hot!
but we do it anyway, then remove them when we get tickets. Then put them on again!! and on and on and on!!!

2001 CLK 320
Tint
I believe the CLK 430 has a blue tint while the CLK 320 has more of a neutral tint. I'd imagine that is a consideration when aftermarket tinting.

2002 CLK-430 Brilliant silver/ash
I just got a tint job on my Brilliant Silver/Ash '02-430. I went 50% on the sides and 35% on the back. The bright interior combined with the blue glass looked like hi-lighter on a bright day. This combo worked out to be perfectly classy and understated. I would definately reccomend a one grade darker tint on the back window of any ASH interior car. It doesn't look out of balance at all.

Sorry Ahmed, you are absolutely right. In the U.S. the CLK 320 is automatically given the Elegance package (minus the Elegance badging) and the CLK 430 is automatically given the Avant Garde package. I wish MBUSA would give us more flexibility, but they don't. (I think it has to do with import restrictions, each model has to be individually certified) Anyway, I'll make it a point to think more globally.

Out Of Control!!
No matter which tint you choose, make sure you have your inner-window moldings replaced with felt or moleskin moldings. The factory window moldings are very abrasive, and you will most likely develop vertical scratches within a few months. Some companies will do it for free, some charger around $75, others don't even know what I'm talking about...
