Pioneer AVIC N1 Installed

Got my avic N1 installed recently. Clean install but I want to swap it with the ac controls so it doesnt block the ac controls from the radio spot. Circuit city said it wouldnt fit but I've seen it done by members on the board.

Anybody have input to this problem?

Also they put the brain under the carpet on the passenger footwell and I wanna relocate it either under passenger seat or in the glove compartment.

I will be posting pictures shortly. I highly reccomend this system but make sure you get the soundgate adapter otherwise you will burn out your stock amp. Also got a cd changer waiting to be installed.

4 wheeled car.
wow, last time I went to CC to get **** installed..well they ****ed it up. lol.

Anyway, You can just fit the HU where the AC goes. No problem at all. As for the brain, I'd leave it under the carpet. What are you gonna do with it anyway? And under the seats, no space.

they did f*ck it up

CC did f*ck up the install but they agreed to refund my money for the install so I bought the soundgate for 60 which they didnt feel was neccessary and had them install that after i was refunded. Also they didnt hook up the speed pulse so on the bottom level of the GW the nav froze up. Still have to get that done along with the cd changer install. Probably going to finish it up this week with the soundgate and the AC controls relocation.

Love the system though. They couldnt even fit all the nav info on one DVD and there are 2 that cover the US and Canada.

MMgrad im a big fan of the Eclipse but I couldnt touch one for less than 1900 otherwise I would have gotten the eclipse in a heartbeat but the pioneer is wonderful. Feels a little quirky right now but im sure that its because they didnt install it properly. Will let you know the final results as soon as its done.

Brain unit under carpet

Also the brain unit I dont want under the carpet. I think it might squeeze under the seat bc its pretty small but time will tell. Also, when it is under the carpet it leaves an unsightly lump. If it fitted flush I wouldnt care as much. What makes this harder is the fact that I am up at school now and there really arent too many shops qualified to work on the car around here. ]

Luckily, the guy in the CC up here really knows his sh*t and was the one who told me to get the soundgate.

The only real reason I went to CC in the first place was because I got the unit the day before I left for school and needed it for the drive up. My usual audio shop out on the Island couldnt fit me in that day so I went to circuit city basically cause they had an open bay. By the end of the week everything should be perfect.

Also, I get a message that the G sensor is wrong and it needs to be adjusted. Not exactly sure what it is but if anyone on the forum can help it would be much appreciated.
