Exhaust Manifold Gasket Blew...
Well that previous post about a rattle under my car had nothing to do with the cats. Actually, I went to the MB dealer. They originally thought it was a valve tick and I said wow that would really suck.
We spent some time listening and searching and came to the conclusion that the exhaust manifold gasket on the passenger side was blown, or the header itself is cracked.
Really dont know whether I should just fix that gasket and wait for the other one to blow, or replace both of them

I had an exhaust header fail on another car I had in the 80's and it was taken care of by such a warranty.

no warranty
car is a 98 with no warranty. has 103k miles. I got quoted a price of 500 which isnt terrible but as long as its in maybe ill have some more work done like the new tires.
The noise isnt that terrible but annoying and Ive been advised no real damage can come from this. I guess its something that would have to be done sooner or later so lets get it done
