Solid or Ventilated rotors?

I need to replace the warped front rotors on my CLK320 convertible. On Rock Auto, O'Reilley's, etc. when I enter the vehicle info I come up with a number of rotors, both solid and slotted that they all claim are an "exact fit" for the car. But seeing how the solid ones are much thinner I don't see how that could be. Are they interchangeable?

I would recommend calling your dealer/Indy and ask them if they have OEM. Its more of a personal choice.
