Xenon Ballast Removal Advice?
I need to replace the ballast on my 2002 CLK 430. It is the one on the passenger side.
I can't see how the mounting cage attaches to the headlight housing.
Am I able to get this unit out without removing the entire headlight assembly?
Does anyone have a Xenon Headlight Assembly that is out of a car and can post a picture showing how it is attached?
Any help would be appreciated, and if anyone has a used ballast for sale please let me know.
Thank you!
Mike

Update on Ballast Removal
I wanted to post an update on my project.
I purchased two used ballasts on Ebay for $100.00 total instead of a new one for $275 from Rockauto.
In order to replace them I needed to remove the headlight assembly first, and I found several videos on youtube to instruct me.
The repair went very well, and the only things that I could add are that all of the plastic clips are very brittle after twenty years, and I noticed some cracking on the wires that plugged into the ballast, so I made sure I taped up everything very well before I reconnected them, and I used dielectric grease on all of the connections.
Please reach out if anyone needs any more information about this.
Thank You,
Mike
