Front crankshaft seal installation questions.

Hi. I have a clk430, and I replaced the front crankshaft seal. It is now leaking. I tapped it in instead of using the special tool, and I used an aftermarket seal, a brand called corteco. My main question is, is the corteco brand seal any good? And also I didn't turn the crankshaft pulley bolt the additional 90 degrees after installing the bolt. Does the crankshaft pulley press against the seal and help stop oil from leaking? If you don't get the 90 degrees turn after you torque the crankshaft bolt to 200 nm, would that cause an oil leak between the pulley and the crankshaft? Thnx in advance.

M113 front crankshaft seal install

How deep should the front seal be in MM ?. In the process of a m113 rebuild .I just tapped mine it & I think I went too deep ? It’s 4mm …. Please & Thankyou . Wish I had a book on the m113 engine ( specifically my 2003 w163 ML500 ) but I think they have digital platform called WIS ?
