AMG supercharger
I have a line on a supercharger from a c32. Does anyone think with a larger pulley it can be fit onto a CLK320?
Also, how would i go about reprogramming the software for the supercharger if it was possible with a larger pulley

I am by no means an expert on this, but i've heard of it being done. It's pretty much the same engine. However, if all you have is the supercharger itself, it might be a pain to get all the other parts you'll need to make it work (like the software, injectors, hoses, etc.) you might have to buy them from MB. If i were you i'd go Kleeman (less difficult, more power), unless im just wrong (a possibility) and this isnt goign to be as hard as i think it will be. Good luck.

thats what im worried about, the software and fuel issue. If i was in LA i reckon there are many shops that could do stuff like that but out here in NY it seems hopeless as there arent too many shops that I know of that can do this sort of work.
If anyone knows a good shop that they think is competent in this sort of work pelase let me know.

bear in mind the AMG version of the 3.2 V6 has a lower compression ratio than the NA 3.2. The comp ratio was reduced by at least one point 10:1 > 9:1. This was probably to make it work with pump gas octane that is readily available (91 - 93 octane in most places).
and there were upgrades to the oiling system (more volume to cool the internal parts) and probably stronger connecting rods & bolts to deal with the greater stresses. There might be more material in the pistons (maybe even forged pistons vs. cast) to cope with the additional heat under boost conditions. The AMG versions have different casting techniques for the engine blocks to add more strength compared to the regular production units.
By contrast, the Kleeman setup uses lower boost pressure (something like .7 - .8 bar) for a stock NA engine to cope with - most likely for durability and to prevent detonation problems.
By simply bolting on the AMG supercharger to the stock NA engine, you could melt through the piston tops (detonation), rod failure or head gasket failures (if AMG had different gaskets for the S/C versions).
AMG doesn't do this, and there's probably many reasons why - mainly for a durable, reliable hi-po engine version rather than a highly stressed grenade waiting to go off.

There is a shop in Mt vernon, NY. the website is boykinracing.us they do all sorts of upgrades for mercedes and bmw. including custom turbos, and superchargers for mercedes so they might be able to help. Im actually going to do a major engine rebuild there on my clk320. If you have time to check it out let me know if they do good work, because im over in CA and can't check there shop myself.

Because i have not seen the mods that i'm going to have done in any shop in LA. And the price is great, I don't want to spend $10,000 to get 60hp for an engine rebuild. Supposedly my 320 is going to 310hp for $5,900 on pump gas. So the price and hp gain are reasonable

1. port and polished
heads
intake mainfold
exhuasut manifold
2. Remapped ECU
3. Camshaft modifaction (increased duration)
4. Custom made carbon fiber airbox and performance filter
5. Racing inginition wires and plugs
6. titanium valves
7. CNC underdrive pulley
7. And a two year or 50,000 mile warranty on parts and labor
Im not sure if it can reach the 310hp but hopefully it comes close. A dyno will also be done before and after. will just have to see. i sent my car out the other day so all will know within a month!
You should talk to John and let him know what your interested in, tell him that i told you about his company, im Edwin.
