Hey I finally got my first mercedes today. I'm just about to get all my credits to graduate highschool, and today my mom decided to give me her 99 clk430!! You have no idea how happy I am (i used to have a civic). So I was wondering if you guys could tell me who the best tuners are for mercs, and whats the best way to get some more power out of it. Thanks for any help in advance.

i just pray that you do not rice out this benz.... or i will personally slap u with a civic emblem.
first.. check to see if the car is still under warranty.. if so.. do not do any engine mods until the warranty period has ended. unlike japanese cars.. do not go cheap on parts.. if u do.. you will **** up your car and again, i will haev to slap u with the civic emblem. depending on what mods u plan to do with your car... read up on the forum for people who have already done them and they will tell you how they like it etc.. gotta cut this short.. g2g to work.

I don't intend to rice out my car, I didn't even do anything to my civic, I just want to make this a little bit faster off the line, it seems kinda sluggish, and my mom said the warranty was over. Mine looks just like yours actually, the one in the avatar. I just want to make it a little bit faster, new wheels, and a little bit more of an aggressive posture.

Easiest thing to do first would probably be some evosport pulleys. here's the link http://www.evosport.com/product/perf/perf_mercedes.html The 430's a pretty quick car but you have to remember you are gettting alot of weight rolling with a slow automatic tranny. Its not going to feel as quick of the line as a lighter car might, but you have to get past 0-60 times. This evosport setup should help you on the low end, but Mercs are not made for street racing. Go out on a highway and have some real fun, or better yet, put some koni's on there with Renntech springs and go find a curvy road. As for wheels, you have tons of choices and its really just personal opinon and finances. As far as agressive looks go, the AMG kit is pretty agressive IMO, but maybe go with a lorinser front bumper or something. My fav. exhaust setup for MB is eisenmann, they're sold thru a supplier called eisenhaus, google for their website. MB tuning is WORLDS different from honda tuning, but i think its more fun.
