The srs light came on a few years ago and the garage chopped of the connectors from the seat mat and the module under the seat, connected the wires without connectors and wrapped them in electrical tape. The srs light went out. Great.
The lights come on again and I bought a new seat mat. Went to put it in and that's when I realised there's no connector from the module under the seat. I contacted Mercedes and was informed that the connector is not sold on its own, it only comes as part of the module. So I went from a couple of quid to hundreds. An emulator obviously has the same connector so that's not going to help.
the picture shows what its supposed to look like with the two sets of wires connected. Its the darker yellow female connector on the right that I dont have.
This little connector is the only thing preventing my car from passing its MOT.
can anyone tell me if there's a way and how to connect the wires to the mat wires to the module wires without the module connector? I'm told that there must be 2.7 ohms but I've no idea how to achieve this. Surely there must be a simple fix?
I'm so stressed with this.
