Hydraulics for the top
The hydraulic system hasn't worked on my 02 clk 430 since I bought it so I purchased a hydraulic system that was off of a 2000 clk 340 my issue is this the 1 we took off of my car only had 5 of the round barrel looking things that come off of the top side of it but the 1 I bought has 7 of them & when I looked up the ones from mercedes world for my car it shows 7 of them also so I'm unsure if the one I bought will work or is it wrong one & there are 2 additional wires that go to the plug can anyone help me w/this? During MY 2001, MB made a significant number of upgrades to the W208/A208 (e.g. the Bosch ME 2.8 engine management was updated from version 2.0, a new spill resistant shift module now mitigates accidental center console drink spills, long lasting led lamps are now used in side mirror directional blinkers, higher flowing injectors, larger throttle body on the 430s etc.).
With respect to the A208 cabriolets, there were also significant upgrades intended to simplify and increase the reliability of the power roof system, which included a new and different pump valve body that only 5 solenoids vs. the former 7, a new updated soft top compartment cover lock, as well as a different soft-top control module.
The aforementioned upgraded parts have different part numbers and are not interchangeable between earlier and later production models.
