. . . developed a shift problem - Could not shift into Park or Drive.
Teardown found that the green shifter bushing was missing, and the circuit board had corrosion deposits at the ribbon cable. Both were corrected.
Also, found that the crumb-catcher "Louver" or "Shutter" had disintegrated so much it bunched-up, especially when pulling aft, that the range of motion was restricted.
The black, disintegrated rubber material was scattered throughout the housing. The Shutter is not usable.
There is a part number 129-267-00-26 (Shutter) available on-line, but it is somewhat different.
I cannot find a part number for the W208 application.
Does anyone know the correct part number - if there is one - or a source of new part, or a DIY solution?

I have this part I believe. This came out of my 2003 CLK320. I replaced the entire shifter assembly but kept the old one. If this is it then PM me your address and I will ship it to you gratis. Good luck!
