I bought cross drilled brembo rotors (OEM size not 'big brake') for like $130 US on ebay, you can also find kits online and performanceproducts.com

watch out for ebay
I understand that most of the "ebay rotors" are not drilled by Brembo, but are Brembo blanks that are drilled by a third party.
No one tells you that on ebay though!!!!
I would not trust my life or MB to such things, although I have no data to prove they are any different, structually or performance-wise, then those drilled by Brembo.

you are correct, they are not drilled by brembo, but i have not had any problems, just find someone with lots of positive feedback, i love my rotors, they have no rust and they stop great

Nothing wrong with my brakes....
I bought a full set of brembo drilled and slotted rotors off eBay that were drilled and slotted by a third party machine shop and the work they did was excellent. Worked great for over a year now. The most important thing to consider when buying these types of brakes is to ensure the machining was done correct to prevent rotor cracking. Make sure the drill holes are chamfered to relieve stresses during machining. Brakes off eBay are still actual Brembo rotors (of the OEM size), but at a substantial cost savings since they do not perform the machine work. I bought them because my rotors were going bad and they upgraded my braking and gave a nice look at the same time w/o the $3000+ cost of a "big Brake" kit from Brembo with upgraded calipers. Do my brakes see autocrossing temps that glaze the pad surfaces and cause extreme outgassing of the pads? No, and neither will most of you reading this, but its a great look at a very non-Mercedes price.

Well, i had extremely good luck with the 3rd party drilled rotors w/ axis semi-metallic pads, so I recommended a friend w/ the same exact car to get the same exact setup from the same exact vendor. He has only had them on his car for about 6 months and the rotors are already warping.........
I had mine on my car for about a year and drove my car hard every day w/o any problems. I actually noticed a noticeable performance increase on stopping power as well.

As an alternative, I'd recommend Zimmermann cross drilled rotors. I've had them for awhile now and have had no problems. Very inexpensive compared to Brembo. i think I paid just over $100 for the front pair. Only thing I'd have done is to cad plate or powdercoat the non braking surfaces so you get no rust.
