Oxygen Sensor 2lt - 2001 CLK
Just had my CLK 2Lt -2001 87,000 miles back from the Mercedes Main Dealer.Went in to check the engine management light on. Same problem that was looked at in November 2023. Corroded electrics under the floor. Driver side. (RHD) UK.
Rear Cat. Oxygen Sensor connection plug cleaned and and put back, solved the problem. 5 months later,same problem back. I have been advised that it is the rear sensor connection that is the problem again.To solve the problem will require
the interior of the driver side taken out to trace the loom. 4 figure price quoted ££££. as there only 2 sensors in the system. 1 before, and 1 after the Cat. Only 2 Oxygen Sensors, according to main dealer.Question ? Is it possible to renew the
corroded electrical connections under the floor, without removing the loom and interior of the car.
