Drone in custom exhaust
Hello every!
Im new here
I have CLK 55 and i did some modifications to my exhaust. Wanted it to be loud so i straight piped and instaled valve before C63 W204 muffler.
With straight pipe but when valve is closed i got no drone at all. But when i open it then it drones at around 2-2,5 RPM and i got alot vibrations inside car because of it.
Can someone tell me what could i do to minialize drone and vibration? Was thinking off welding cats and run it straight to the tips without valve and muffler. or make it true dual 2,5" tube. Thanks in advance for help.

You need a j-pipe or a hemholtz chamber welded in to stop the drone.
You may have also lost some torque as the CLK55 is tuned to factor in catalytic converters.
