To seat or not to seat
To seat or not to seat
I am in a bit of a conundrum, I have recently purchased a (relatively) low mile 1998 CLK 320 white with light grey beige interior. I paid a great price and it runs great. Only one problem (“one”). Previous owner left a battery in the back seat and battery acid leaked all over it on one side.
to say the least it is completely melted, black and gross, sticky, etc. can’t be sat in (a friend made that mistake and his pants are ruined).
But!!! I have happened upon a part out, same interior colour, but it is a cabriolet and mine is a coupe. The seats look much different physically, as the cab has the uninterrupted cushion and the coupe has that stupid tray with the folding ashtray(?) but I am hoping and praying that if I get the back seat from the cab it will still fit.
if anyone has any info or experience swapping these seats it would be greatly appreciated.
