I'm having trouble locating a clunking noise
When I purchased this car a few months ago, I noticed a clunking noise when driving over bumps, particularly on both the driver's and passenger's side. However, the sound from the passenger side has since subsided, and the car is now driving smoothly.
On the driver’s side, there is still a noticeable clunk when taking sharp turns, such as pulling into my driveway from a flat street onto the curb. This results in a vibration beneath my feet as soon as it happens, and I can hear a popping or clunking sound through the center of the vehicle. It's sudden. Not a lingering noise.
Despite replacing most of the suspension parts, the issue persists:
- Tie Rod Assembly
- Left and Right Struts/Shocks
- Left and Right Lower Ball Joints
- Steering Damper
- Sway Bar Link Bushings
- Left Control Arm with new bushings
I believe the remaining issues might be related to either:
- Sway Bar Center Bushings
- Subframe Bushings
Given my extensive repairs, I’m at a loss for what else could be causing this problem. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
