Spring Pads for Cup Kit
With a 430, chances are you currently have a 4 in the front and a 3 in the rear.
A #1 pad is 9mm thick, and increases 5mm with each step up. I.E. #2 = 14mm, 3= 19mm, 4 = 24mm (about 1"), 5 = 29mm.
Assuming that you do have a 4/3 combination, you could raise your car 5mm by increasing to a 5/4, or if you are looking to go the opposite way, you may lower your car 10mm more. Bear in mind, the smaller the pad, the more road feel the car will have, and thus ride-quality will decrease. The larger the pad, the better the ride quality, but possibly slightly less handling.
I've always found it to be a good idea to keep the same step ratio, so if the front is 1 step larger than the rear, try to keep it this way.
I'll be available after 2:30 today if you still need to reach me.
its all a matter of preference... i've been quite happy with my #1 pad setup, although, I think I will be moving back up to thicker pads because thin pads + lowered suspension = lots of negative camber....
