320 lack of throttle response
Good evening all
I'm trying to help out a friend. We have used the engine & gearbox from a 2000 320 Cabriolet to power an American Taxi . The entire loom has been swapped in at the moment with the fuel tank etc . It was all removed from a running driving car . But the problem we have is although it will start up & idle OK there is no response when you press the throttle pedal . The actuators have been checked by fitting them to another car & they work fine , the same parts from the car have been tried on the taxi with no luck . The code reader doesn't help as its showing no fault codes . We are currently out of ideas .
So has anyone had this problem begore or does anyone have any ideas of what we should look at next ?

Fuel pressure
Number one, I'd check the fuel pressure at the rail to ensure it's at about 45-60psi. There should be a small fitting on the passenger side front of the engine. You can borrow a pressure gauge from most parts stores for free if you don't have one.
Note that it is a common mistake to connect the fuel pump and filter backwards.
