Welcome!

I have not experienced your symptoms, but based on other comments here on the board over the past couple years, the fix is a new instrument cluster. Hopefully, you are still under warranty.

Chappy is right... if your cluster has dead pixels.... the only way a dealer would fix it would be to replace the whole cluster...

based on the yr, it should still be under warranty, so... it would be replaced...

Just got back from the dealer with the same question....they need to replace the whole cluster. When they do, they order it directly from Germany with all of your cars specs....and its programmed in Germany. They then send it to your local dealer and they install it for about $100-200 plus the part, which is about $800....so its not cheap to say the least. The service writer told me that if the clusters are on back order, they will have to keep the car as long as it takes to get the cluster in since it is programmed in germany and if you were to drive it....then your cars miles wont be accurate and thats illegal.

so that is what i was told today....if your warranty is still active ...use it quick.....
