................I finally picked up my car and wanted to share the results. A kleemann supercharger as well as a Kleemann alloy pulley that allows the supercharger to eperate at .6 bar rather than the .5 bar that the supercharger is set to operate at without any modifications. This has raised the HP to 345 rather than the expected 330HP. Well lets just the performance is mind buggling. It is not even like it is the same car. I left the suspension unchanged because I, unlike some do like the comfortable ride. Also I have Lorinser body kit and the front bumper scrapes the floos occassionally and I fear it will do so more often if I change the suspension or lower the car. Back to the supercharger........this thing is amazing. It delivers power at all RPMS. I have to be careful not to hit the car in front of me because, my car seems like it wants to get away from me. I strongly recommend it if you have extra cash laying around. As for a Kleeman supercharged CLK 320 vs a stock 430........forget about it. A 430 is not even in the same planet. With the extra HP, my car does 0-60 in 5.6 secs. I was confused about the badging so I badged it CLK 32K Lorinser. What is interesting is that the car drives as majestically as a benz, but shoots out like a sporstcar when you press the cas. No sacrifice in noise, comfort or ride quality. Downside is the $11700 that the whole thing cost and that I am hardly to be found at home these days.

Yes I did notice. Still good information for anyone thinking of running a SC on their 320.

I am surprised with all your mods Williams that you have not found a Kleeman SC to throw on there and finally be up there with the 55s. This thread sure does make it sound attractive!

Tune

I have a 430. Tuning the ECU, they say will get me 19hp and 21lbs torque.
With my current set up of a secondary cat delete and the 55 exhaust, Im hoping the 430 will hopefully have close to 300 hp/ 320 lbs torque.
The tune will run me roughly $400 from my shop.

Has anyone done an ECU tune for the 430?? If so I'd love to find out how it turned out for you.

.............There are two reasons I decided not to switch to a CLK 430. The first reason is explained by the picture below. The secopnd reason is that a stock CLK 430 produces 275HP and 295lb-ft of torque. Kleemann claims that a supercharged CLK 320 will produce 330 HP and 310lb-ft of torque. Recall that a CLK 55 produces 345HP. So, if the claim by Kleemann is correct, then a CLK 430 is not even in the same league as a CLK32K. Besides there are other tricks you can use to coax 350HP from a Kleemannized CLK 320. So, the theory is makes sense, I am not sure how it will work out in practice. My car is in the SHOP now. I will let you know.

This got me thinking and I was wondering if anyone can chime in.. What stock Mercedes supercharger will be a DIRECT BOLT ON SC to our 320 motor? I know it wouldn't have the same gains as the Kleeman SC, but just curious if anyone has maybe found a 320 Kompressor motor and put on a stock Mercedes or AMG supercharger on the 320 without spending an arm and two legs and a left nut on a Kleeman one! Let me know if anyone has heard of anything that can work...??
