Wow!

Wow!!
OK FRIENDS, HERE'S THE DEAL!

I just got off the phone with the regional manager / factory rep / whatever. He will

a) give me the K4 for FREE

and b) give me the COMAND at 50% discount.

I don't know how to thank you guys... also got approved for financing (peoplefirst.com) this morning... and they are also keeping the car for several weeks so that I can "think about it" (I'm flying to Europe this week and don't want to deal with the car situation before I leave).

Wow.

Vic, Karl, CLK - THANK YOU!!!

Now I wonder how much I'd make if I sold the car right now... (actually seriously - how much? )

(ps - VIC - I noticed you replied, but I tried to move the post into my original thread and ended up deleting it - could ya pls repost your reply? I think the other thread is at capacity or something)

Great news!!! Glad that this community could help you out. Once you pick that baby up make sure you post pics.

Pull yesterday's LA Times and see what some used Cabs are going for- that should give you a ballpark on what you can sell it for but remember you have zero miles and also saved some money on the options. I can't believe they did that for you- the factory definitely seems to care about how their dealers behave or at least in your case.

Will do - only thing bothering me is the tax which I'll have to subtract from the used car price - I guess I should put a few miles into my baby before thinking about selling to make it worth it

Thx again for your help!!!

Pictures will be up in a few weeks

Everyone pays sales tax when they buy things, If you are selling your car do not take away the sales tax from the selling price. Sales tax is an assumed cost on any purchase and you should not lose that money. You paid it up front so should the buyer- that is if you sell the car but I would never sell that nice CAB

Congrats Daman!

Glad you did not go the letter route. Letter simply was too lengthy.

Now make sure that they don't charge you for the GSP CDs and get the CD changer - free. (That's another $1,000 comp)

You suffered enough. MB comp time has arrived.

Best wishes on your new CLK. Best car I've owned!

Karl K

Daman: Try harder!

Daman:

You are now in the driver's seat. Remember to get a good demo of the Command features, and that the system works flawlessly BEFORE you sign the paperwork. Request from the dealership that you want to be briefed, when you set up your appointment re delivery, - briefed w/demo in detail, particularly on the Command system.

The 11 CDs cost $160 w/car. $250 without.

Explain to the dealership that with a new car comes a tank of gas and a crankcase filled with oil and mention other fluids... With the Command system come the navigation CDs...

On the CD changer you might have split the cost and pay $350. It connects to car's fiberoptic network.

Again:

Best of Luck to you Daman!

YOU are now in the driver's seat.
