Heat emanating from Console
Anybody notice heat coming up from under the cupholders and the shift panel while their top was down? Since the weather has gotten warmer in NY area, been driving top down and noticed warm-hot air coming up from where cupholder is when top is down. Is this normal? Didn't seem to happen all winter regardless of running heat/seat heaters etc. Only when top is down.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Oh yes it's normal
Yes, the heat is normal. Sometimes it can get very hot so watch what you put in the compartments. However you should see the tranny heat coming out from my friend's Camaro, you can boil an egg on it! It just has no insulation or whatsoever.

it's always there
If you drive for a long time with the top up, you will still feel the heat coming from underneath the gear box. Actuall that whole section even by the leg vents can feel warm. It is just normal heat generated by friction and now that it's getting hotter, you will feel it more
