CLK tank larger?

CLK tank larger?
Whenever I hit 260 miles, my gas tank needle reads empty.
I can only add 14.5 gallons to the 16.4 gal. tank. So there is a 1.9 gal. fudge factor.
QUESTION:
Would it not be nice to have a larger tank, so that one does not have to tank up all the time?
I would like a 20 gal. tank.

i just got back from a trip to Myrtle Beach...
on the way down the trip-o-meter said i was getting 25.6 mpg on the way back i was getting 24.3 mpg. When i filled up i had close to 350 miles on the tank.

More Gas=more weight.

A 20 gallon tank would only add 28 lbs. of gas, - which equals the weight of a grocery bag.
I would like to tank up after 320-350 miles.

What are you eating?
Karl, perhaps you have never hauled a couple of five gallon jerry cans of gas down to a dock to gas up a boat, but it is a hell of a lot more heavey than a grocery sack...unless you are buying frozen turkeys every week.
Personally, I only put 6-8 gallons in every time I fill it unless I am driving a long trip. :p :p :p :p :p :p
