Pictures from today's autocross and poll on best springs for a 320
Anyone here ever autocross their car? I went for the first time today and had alot of fun, found out how badly my car understeers at speed around hairpin turns though and im wondering what the best way to fix it is. My friend (DaveOH) with the SLK has Konis and Renntech springs and it seemed to work for him pretty well. My best run of the day was a 44.5 and his was a 43.3...to put that in perspective the best run of the day was a 37 by a 400hp miata and the sti's and other WRXs (most modded) and a 450rwhp Supra were running around 40-42. I have a birthday coming up and am thinking about getting a bumper or some suspension mods...i'm pretty set on the koni shocks but dont know if the Renntech's are worth the money. So what do you guys think? H&R, Eibach, Renntech, or others? Enjoy the pics...

More pics of auto x and trip to Foreign Cars Italia
After the event my girlfriend and i went to Foreign Cars Italia to look around. It was closed but there were some awesome cars (i.e. F50, DB9, Dino, GT3, 360s, and an F40) outside and near the windows.

Sweet, I wanna try that someday. I think I might go to a 1-day driving school thing over the summer. For some reason that SLK looks like a mini remote controlled car...if you take out the people in the background, it would probably be even worse :-D

You got an awesome time compared to the others! The CLK has mega body roll, so I think springs would definitely help. I can just imagine how much more body roll my car would have with the extra weight up front I need springs too Once summer comes around, I'll be going with H&R.

King,
Nice pictures, looks like you had a good time. I missed the first 2005 Auto-X meet last weekend, I was in New Orleans, but I'm planning on going to the March autocross in W-S. New shocks and springs would have a big effect on your handling and definatley allow you to post better times.
