Since I'm from the US, I'm constantly confused by all the "package" titles overseas- Avantgarde, etc.
All I know is that the US 430s have always had the AMG kit and 17" wheels, although in 2000 they switched a few things (i.e, black trim around the windows instead of chrome). Hope that helps

i would love some feedback about US specs. Lets see.. this is what i know about the options we get:
elegance ( 200, 230, 320, 430 )
Chrome trims, maple interior, green tint and standard suspension.
avantgarde ( 200, 230, 320, 430, 55 )
Colored trims, birds eye interior, blue tint and sport suspension.
PRE 2000 had SPORT version which was replaced by AVANTGARDE.
sport version had carbon interior and ivory colored instruments cluster.
I'll try to post some pics of the PRE 2000 SPORT version.

What's up Ahmed. Looks like in America the 320s come standard with the Elegance package, while the 430s and 55s come with the Avantgarde, as I'm sure you know.
Is the trim in the pre-2000 Sport model real carbon fiber, or the carbon trim found in the SLK? Kind of hard to tell from the pics. If I could have gotten real c/f trim from Benzo, I would have been all over it! Anyway, I had no idea there was ever a "Sport" model, so thanks for the info!

I'd love to have the elegance and avantgarde options available for US MBs. My parents have a CLK320 Avantgarde at home which looks nicer than mine.

2002 model of the CLK320 can now option for the Sport package which use the AMG body kit and suspension upgrade just like the CLK430 now. the package is around $4700 U.S. dollar...which i think it is not worth it.
