Vehicle locking Question
I have a 2003 CLK 500 and when I lock the car ONLY the lights/mirror flash. Usually you have to standing toward the car to make sure the car is locked. My question, can the programer be programmed so that the horn will honk when the locking system is engage.

For my 2004 CLK320, I asked the same question to MB Canada and this was the reply "Not available to current CLK North American models".
Now I'm used to this and actually prefer it. The chirp of the siren can ne annoying at a quiet night. Unless like the Darringer car alarm in my previous car, I actually had 2 activate buttons in my remote, one with siren chirp and one without.
In almost all occasions, I can see the lights flash when I activate the alarm, sometimes even 1-2 blocks away.

2003 CLK 320
On my car the brake lights flash as well, making it easy to see from the side and rear that the car is locked and alarm is set. I didn't notice anything in the "settings" to change/modify this feature so it should be the default.

Locking
A sounding horm while locking your car here in the UK usually means that acar is cheap , in all my 15 years of owning 7 different mercedes ,none of them have ever Honked a horn ] when locking !
