Unfortunate Australian Info
Americans must appreciate the prices you get your cars for. The australian prices were released today:
CLK 500- with NO options, NO sports kit, NO 2-tone leather, NO bi-xenon lights (Satnav comes standard, 17 inch wheels come standard, ) will cost US $79,477!!! (AUS$ 139500)

The 320 with basically the same features, (sans 17inch wheels, the luxury aircon and adaptive steering) will RRP for US$ 65,232 (AUD 114,500)
Options: The sunroof is a US$ 1800 option and the AMG kit a
US$ 5700 option.
The first vehicle here will be registered on the 28 of JUN.

True about the coolness factor, but our government has gone speed camera nuts. You see them everywhere. Top speed on highways is 110kmph. Thats why Mercedes will sell heaps more 6cyl and 4cyl CLK than I imagine you guys get.

Likewise here.
Pulling up next to a CLK 200K (only available in the W208 guise so far, but im sure a w209 will be on its way) at the lights, and then giving them a walloping in the v8 will be a satisfying feeling and hopefully make the 200K driver realise why he spent less.

Not that I am saying the lesser model is bad or anything wrong with it. I would probably get clk500. Once you put bigger wheels on the clk320 becomes way 2 slow. (19" wheels that is)
