shift knob change

How do I change the shift knob on my new clk 320? I would like to replace the leather knob with a burlwood one.

It's pretty easy, you just need to use a little force.

1. Open the ashtray door
2. pop the shifter wood trim base out
3. undo the fasteners to pop out the shifter base from the wood piece
4. unscrew the plastic lock nut piece from the backside at the base of the knob.

It should slide right off at that point.

Frisco,

I see that you have Silver Carbon Fiber on your car. I was thinking to do the same for my car. Where'd you buy yours from and are you happy w/ it? Thanks!

It's from Harton, one of the site sponsors, and I am very happy with it.

Hello Frisco,
I have a similar question if you don't mind sharing the info. I have carbon fiber interior trim as well but on the other post I saw your car's interior and noticed you have carbon seat covers and head rest. They look amazing, how much do those cost? Thanks in advance!

Thanks - It was done special for me. I'm not really a rep for the company, so it's probably best if you talk to the vendor directly about pricing.
