Am I only limited to the phones offered by Mercedes for use in my car?
Hello,
I already have the hands free communication installed in my car, If i get the Cradle from Mercedes can I use other phones, I have a Nokia 9500 Communicator phone.
If this is not possible, then are there any other alternative?
There have to be phones and phone kits out there that are not from Mercedes and will hook up to our cars.

i believe you are talking about a mikbox....do a search for mikbox or just go to his website www.mikbox.com its a very cool idea for non benz phones ...if anyone can helpi have a v60 benz phone and want to upgrade to the benz v710 ....how much will it cost me? my friend says i only need to install the new cradle for that phone the rest will be working with my existing phone

The phones that you buy through mercedes are the only ones that work through the car. They have additional integrated software that allows them to connect to the car, so this means that a non benz phone will not work in the cradle.
