Would be nice!

Only time can tell, if engineering & mfg. can develop such a large span of roof that is reliable and safe, the MB hallmarks.

I personally would like to see the Pano/Vario roof.

'03 CLK500
I've yet to see the Pano/Vario roof on the C-coupe, but I would imagine that roof on the CLK500 w/its pillarless windows would look hot. I guess the glass sunroof will have to do for now. Do you guys think that you would sacrifice a little space in the back in exchange for the hard-top? I'm not a big fan of the W208 cab's at all, but if it had a hard-top opposed to a soft, that may solve the problem.

I personally would not sacrifice the space for a Pano/Vario roof. And I am not sure if the Pano/Vario roof would look all that good on a CLK considering the amount to roof it has to cover viz-a-viz a C
But a hard top cab would throw the competition out. Most buyers opt out of buying a convertible cosidering the cloth cover of a convertible, its durability, safety, interior comfort etc... What could be better that someone on the east coast can have the hard top in the snow... and a convertible in the summer... I think it will be a bit hit!!!!!
