Just came back from the dealer and since I'm in the market for new tires I spent lots of time looking at all the CLK 500's to see what kind of rubber the 05's had on. Most had the Michelin Pilot Sport's but one had Michelin Pilot Primacy's on it. I love all Michelin tires especially the Pilot Sports(came on mine) and PS2's but this was the first time I'd ever seen the Primacy on a CLK 500, I checked the prices on the tire rack and they're just as, if not more expensive than the Pilot PS's and the ratings were not as good
I'll be putting in my order for 4 Pilot PS2's next Monday, the reviews on this tire are incredible! Most of the E55 guys here switched from the Conti 2's to the Michelin PS2's and can't believe the difference and the reviews on the tire racks website are excellent too. BTW Michelin is offering $50.00 rebates through the end of the month.

How many miles you get out of them? I just pulled off one of my rear wheels (Dunlop SP9000) to get a nail hole fixed, and it looks like I still got at least 10-20k miles left on them. I think I've put over 20k miles on them since I picked them up, and I wasn't anticipating even this much wear.

30,000 to 40000 miles on rear clk 500 tires would be amazing! The normal burn rate for the rears especially in the center sections is about 15000 max, the fronts can go much longer but wear on the outer edges...too much toe-in from the factory I must tell you though, the Michelin Pilots have been incredible tires on all of my cars that had them, Porsche, BMW and MB.

OK maybe my assessment was off base a little bit then. I have 43k miles on the car, and I want to say that I put ~10k on my OEM wheels/tires, 10-15k on my old Brabus MB VIs (which had SP9000s also), and 20k+ on my current Kleemanns. The tread looked to be ~1/2 of what they were when I bought them, but I very well could be off on both the amount of miles I have on them and how much of the tread is left.
