Picking up new CLK55 AMG Coupe facelift in Germany
Hello all,
I really have to show off but I have to say that I will be the new owner on Friday of a CLK55 AMG coupe. I will pick it up in Sindelfingen and will drive
it straight on my holiday ,so I can run in the motor for the first 1400 km.
Pictues of the facelift AMG CLK55 will follow soon. I can tell you that
it comes in obsidian met. schwarz/black with alcantara black leather.
Has DVD Navigation new update and CD-changer with mp3 capability.
Comes with Harman Kardon surround, anti theft alarm, sunroof, confort seat.
bi-xenon
I did not choose keyless go and distronic. Distronic front does not look nice
and keyless go has internal some safety qualification which makes car theft
easier. Also as I am a pilot and frequent on airports the high frequency band interferes with the keyless go system sometimes.
Take care America,

I go on Thursday 16th June to get my new car from Bremen. I'm also doing the tour.
I'm getting 280 Coupe in Metallic Black w/ Black leather. Command, Parktronic, Sunroof, CD Changer, Bi-Xenon, Sports Package, Automatic gearbox, Thermotronic, Folding & Dimming Mirrors.
I didn't bother with Keyless-Go either, I didn't see the point whatsoever. Sounds good but no thanks. Distronic - I didn't see the point in that either. I'll drive thanks. TV-Tuner - considered that, but like when will I watch TV.
One thing that I was disappointed in was that the Command system couldn't play movie DVD's and the option for the mini screens in the back of the headrests. The CLS and S Class command models do (have the option for DVD Movie play back) so why not make this a cost option for other models, I'm sure it would sell, even if $/€/£500 more.
Ahh well Merc will learn one day.

headrest monitors
I doubt MBZ could add the DVD video option and headrest monitors for $500, and besides, the CLK is too small in the back for long rides. Might as well get the CLS or S-class for those longer rides.
We got the keyless go with our w209-500. LOVE it! very convenient to walk up to the car and go, without fumbling with keys.
